For Lent

Lord, here I am
Offering my prayers to you again
I feel a longing
But I don't know why -
Is it the way you made me - 
To want to seek you out?
Lord, here I am
Offering myself to you
I feel I ought to
But I don't know why -
Is it because your love beckons -
Touching me deep inside?
Lord, here I am
Offering to come to you in prayer
Seeking to know you better.
In this time called Lent
I will give myself the time
To be with you and prepare
For the wonder of your love.
Lord help me, for I am searching,
Be with me, guide me,
Let me know your love.
